Users in China Experience Difficulties Accessing Bloomberg News

China-based Internet and mobile users said they experienced difficulty accessing Bloomberg News through its website and mobile applications Wednesday night and much of Thursday.
 
Belina Tan, a spokeswoman for the company, said the Bloomberg website had experienced "technical difficulties." She said she hadn't received any reports of problems with the company's desk-top terminals, which are used by much of the financial world to monitor real-time market data and conduct trade.
 
"We're working with our customer service and technical teams to find out what the glitches are," Ms. Tan said. She said many Bloomberg customers access its news services through the website, rather than a terminal, while they are traveling.
 
By Thursday afternoon, access to the Bloomberg website appeared to have been restored.
