Prof. Wang Jisi, one of the most prominent Chinese scholars on the U.S., expresses cautious optimism following the Busan summit, citing strong personal ties between President Xi Jinping and Trump. However, he remains concerned about declining U.S. expertise on China and deep-seated institutional hostility.
