Following the Washington summit between President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, Prof. Da Wei of Tsinghua University sees a modest but meaningful step toward greater stability in U.S.-China relations.
For this progress to endure, Prof. Da says the two sides need stronger working-level mechanisms in economic affairs, military relations, AI governance, and people-to-people exchanges.
