White House Hosts State Dinner for President Xi

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a state dinner at the White House in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the United States.

President Obama has hosted seven state dinners during his presidency receiving respectively the then-Indian Prime Minister Singh in 2009, the then-Mexican President Calderon in 2010,the then-Chinese President Hu Jintao in 2011, the German Chancellor Merkel in 2011, the then-Korean President Lee Myung-bak in 2011, UK Prime Minister Cameron in 2012 and French President Hollande in 2014.
