China and Pakistan completed a joint two-day naval drill on Friday. It was the first time the two militaries conducted the exercise in the East China Sea.
China's two missile frigates joined Pakistani ships in practising anti-submarine exercises. They also worked on routines such as escorts, air-defense, anti-missile and mock confrontations.
Commanders from China and Pakistan gave instructions in rotation during ground-to-air firing and missile interception. Chinese officers said it was part of efforts to broaden exchanges between the two militarises.
